Role
We’re looking for an experienced Lead .NET Developer. This is both a hands on role building solutions, but also has elements of line management. You will be owning the delivery and ongoing evolution of existing and next generation solutions at TPR.

- Transforming a mission critical application into an Event Based Architecture by applying Domain Driven Design principles using the best cloud-based technology.
- Building accessible cloud hosted websites using the latest technologies and design patterns.
- Helping to refactor applications into cloud app service hosted microservice architectures.
- Working on a cross-industry initiative to consolidate all work place pension information.

The role will be hybrid home/office working in a friendly, supportive team.
Responsibilities
You will:
- recruit, coach and mentor people in the team
- successfully deliver both public facing and internal solutions to support the business
- provide line management to some team members, grades ranging from interns to grade 8
- help continuously improve team development methodologies, processes and standards
- maintain a keen technical awareness; continuously learning and developing own skills
- help continuously improve development methodologies, processes and standards
- develop and maintain software using Dev Ops and Agile values and principles
- write clean code across the full stack for multiple business solutions
- refactor code to keep it optimized and keep tests green
Essential and desirable criteria
Essential skills
- Experience of leading, coaching and mentoring less senior developers.
- Practitioner level experience in developing clean, secure, and well tested code in .NET C#, ideally cloud hosted.
- Demonstrable ability to build accessible web applications which meet users’ needs using appropriate technology, in particular ASP.NET MVC.
- Practitioner level experience of working with relational databases, SQL Server in particular.
- Consistent track record of operating the services you build and identify issues in production.
- Extensive experience of applying appropriate software architecture patterns.
Desirable skills
- Experience of Sitecore/Umbraco or similar Content Management Systems.
- A cloud background, ideally Azure including Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus.
- Experience as a Scrum Master who can apply Agile values and principles in practice.
- Azure DevOps experience, including building CI and CD pipelines.
- Experience of TDD/BDD, ideally using Specflow and Selenium/Playwright for Web UI tests.
