Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join as a Senior Advertising and Campaigns Manager! In this role you will lead the marketing and campaigns team to develop, deliver and evaluate integrated, multi-channel communications activity, designed to generate behaviour change and contribute to improved outcomes for pension savers as defined in TPR’s corporate strategy. This position requires cross-team and cross-government working to deliver the most impactful campaigns.

You will be accountable for the assurance process for all advertising and marketing spend through the provision of robust business cases, ensuring plans deliver value for money and evaluation measures are clearly defined to government standards.

Using the theory of behaviour change, you will oversee the measurement and impact of our campaigns to evaluate their effectiveness in achieving policy aims and delivering organisational impact.

With an increasing need to drive efficiencies across government, there will be an ongoing focus on continuous improvement and enhancements of various TPR owned channels and solutions.

This is a strategically important post, ensuring the quality and effectiveness of audience centred communication campaigns.

Responsibilities

Team Management: accountable for daily team management (4 direct reports, team size of 10 in total), resourcing and ensuring right skills are in place to deliver against the operational plan.

Communications Strategic Planning: accountable for setting team goals and actionable strategies that align with organisational objectives and help the campaigns team meet targets.

Budget Management: accountable for approval of spend within agreed budgets and securing approval to spend on campaign activity in line with government spending controls.

Communications Evaluation: accountable for the evaluation of campaign effectiveness in achieving policy aims and delivering organisational impact.

Stakeholder Management and Leadership: lead the strategic relationship with agency partners, ensuring the maximum value for money and effectiveness is derived.

Continuous Improvement: lead initiatives to drive efficiencies across TPR owned channels and solutions to bring about measurable improvement.

Essential and desirable criteria

Essential

  • Leadership and matrix management.
  • Delivering multi-part, multi-channel, strategic communication programmes designed to generate behaviour change.
  • Strategy articulation and provision of strategic direction (campaigns team and S&C working groups).
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Oversight of significant communication budgets.
  • Standard MS office suite.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of pensions and regulation.
  • CRM / data base marketing (MS Dynamics 365) and latest data privacy laws.
  • Govt spending controls and professional assurance process for communications.
  • Web analytics and campaign tracking (Google analytics and Power BI).
  • Social media posting and listening solutions.
